Pigmentation on the face

  Pigmentation on the face is mainly due to excessive exposure to sun rays. Excessive exposure may lead to skin cancer in some cases.  Precautions for skin care:  1. Avoid sun rays falling on the face by applying Sunscreen lotion on the face.  2. Wear caps to cover the head  3. Use umbrellas while going to the open places or to work in the fields during the hot seasons.  4. Walk or work in shady places, as far as possible.  Treatment for Pigmentation:  1. Take B-complex tablets daily.  2. Take daily a handful of sprouts of Bengal gram and black gram.  3. Lemon juice with little amount of table salt.  4. Salad made up of carrots, tomatoes, beet root and kheera, be taken daily.  5. Take Riboflavin (vitamin B2): 2 tablets daily for 6 months.  6. Treat the Anemia(less Hemoglobin in the blood), if present.  It is not only health but also cosmetic problem. Aseptic Meningitis – Causes

  The name aseptic or sterile meningitis means that there is not any sepsis in the body as there is no bacterial infection.  Aseptic meningitis is an illness characterized by headache, fever and inflammation of the coverings of the brain called meninges. The bacterium does not grow in the culture, in this type of meningitis.  Causes of Aseptic Meningitis:  1. Viruses – coxsackies and Echovirus, collectively known as enteroviruses. These enteroviral infections are common in summer. In some cases, the mumps virus may also cause this condition.  2. Fungi  3. Tuberculosis  4. Some medications which can lead to meningitis.  How it spreads: These viruses spread due to hand – to – mouth contact, coughing and also due to contact with the fecal matter (to less extent).  Mumps generally spreads through droplet infection.  Mycobacterium tuberculosis can lead to aseptic meningitis.  Patients with HIV also suffered from this disease. Children in a day-care centers are exposed to some one with virus infection may also get this meningitis. Symptoms of Aseptic Meningitis:  Headache, Fever, Stiff neck, Sore throat, Uneasiness, malaise (ill –feeling), nausea, vomiting, Drowsiness, Abdominal discomfort, Chills, Rashes, Muscular pain, Aches and confusion.  Laboratory tests:  1.
